Meet our Pastors
Pastor - Preaching and Leadership
Pastor Clark came to Chicagoland from California in 1986 to attend Wheaton College. He currently serves Crossway as lead pastor (preaching & church vision) alongside a growing team of incredible leaders who love Jesus and are deeply devoted to His work in the world. His greatest joy is seeing how the gospel regularly and radically changes lives and grows people into committed followers of Christ. Clark's best friend, companion, and ministry partner is his bride of 22 years, Tricia. His favorite moment of the day is when his kids meet him at the door and compete for the first hugs of the evening (after Tricia). He enjoys music and playing guitar, mountain biking, running, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Chicago Bears though they constantly challenge his faith!
Pastor - Equipping and Community
Pastor Mike came to the Chicago area from Nebraska about 20 years ago to attend Wheaton College, and has been a part of Crossway and its predecessor churches since he arrived. He is a lay-pastor who works full time in the area of contracts and research grants. At Crossway, he is primarily focused on equipping people for Gospel living through adult education and fellowship. Mike has been married to Holly, his best friend, for 17 years and loves being Dad to two daughters: Julia (8) and Sarah (6). He also enjoys camping (when there’s time), running (sort of), and reading (especially history). One of Mike’s favorite verses is 1 Timothy 1:15: “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.”
Pastor - Missions and Shepherding
Pastor Jerry has worked in Brazil for over 40 years as a missionary to two tribal groups, the Marubo and Katukina tribes, and at present is working to get the translation of the New Testament into the Katukina language ready to be printed and delivered to them. He married Gloria 47 years ago while in training to be a missionary, and the Lord blessed them with five children, four boys and one girl. All of them grew up in Brazil, and their third son, Scott, is actively carrying on the ministry among the Katukina folks. At present Jerry is participating as an active pastor at Crossway Chapel, thrilled to see how God is moving in North Aurora and surrounding communities, bringing folks to the church who are hearing the gospel message, as well as seeing it lived out among our church body. He loves sports (more watching than participating of late), being a long-time Cubs and Bears fan, and he loves reading.
